     I'm going to be honest, going into this, I didn't think Peacemaker needed a season two. It was a fun one-off, but we're making multiple seasons of this show? Honestly? I still kind of feel the same way about this season. Like it's very clearly just to let James Gunn start setting stuff up for the rest of the DCU, but there's still some interesting meat on the bone. Even still though, you can't help but feel that the titular character, Peacemaker  is the weakest part of the season anyways. Let's talk about it.     It's been ages since I last watched the first season of Peacmaker  so I was a little rusty on the details but this season just doesn't do enough if that makes any sense. This season, the premise is Chris accidentally finds a portal to an alternate dimension where everything in his life seems nicer but the Nazi's won and took over. The issue? Well first of all it really takes them two whole episodes to even get Chris into this altern...

      Well there it is. Man I remember when this show first came out. It just had an immense level of juice it was ridiculous. The writing was great, the music was riveting, the camera work and the pacing were excellent. They just kept everything to a nice, crisp 20-25 minutes and you really never had to worry about anything. It was intense, it kept you on your toes, and it had you watch nearly the entire series all in one sitting if you tried. That's what I remember most about the first couple of seasons of The Bear. Then season three happened, and season four, and you just wondered where it all went wrong. The showrunners gave up the tight, snappy scenes for long, very character-driven scenes in which dialogue became everything. It sort of lost it's way.       I regret starting this season so much. It's not even funny. Take this in. I wrote my review for season three on July 20th, and now I'm writing my review for season four of The Boondocks  on August 15th, nearly a month later. That's how bad this season is. 10 episodes, twenty minutes a piece, and I still couldn't stomach more than like an episode a week. It got so bad that after I finished Dread Delusion  I just decided to stomach the last six or so episodes and finally get it over with. I kid you not when I say this season of The Boondocks  basically killed any desire for me to finish off any sort of TV in any capacity. I have like five other shows just sitting in limbo because I couldn't bring myself to finish this show.       Well there it is. I feel old just writing this review since I've basically been watching Rick and Morty  since I was child, but another season has come and passed, and I would say this season has been fairly solid. I've never really had too many complaints about the show, but perhaps I've become so accustomed to it, and watched it really soar from where it was, the heights it reached, and what it's become.       Wow. Just wow. Easily, and I do mean easily the best season of The Boondocks  by far, and I don't think it'll be topped (if what I hear about season four is true). What makes it so good? Well simply put, I think it's has the least misses in terms of episodes I didn't care about in the show by a good margin. It started off strong and it just never let up.       Yes, yes, I know I said I was watching The Boondocks  but in Canada you have to buy it on Apple TV which is a pain so it's kind of annoying to go through it.       I have officially finished watching the first season of The Boondocks.  It's a show that's always been on my radar, but for one reason or another eluded me, mainly the fact that it cannot be streamed in Canada unless I buy it off of Apple TV.       Well, I quickly skimmed over my review for season three of Invincible,  and I have to say, most of my original critiques remained. I do think I was quite nice with my rating for the season all things considered, but I was surprised at how much I enjoyed season four.     I did it. I finally bit the bullet. I had been hearing so much about this show, and as a Canadian, I had felt like missing out on a real moment of cultural heritage. How often is it do you see an entirely Canadian produced show sweep western society like that? Not very often. So I gave it a shot, after all it was only six episodes. How bad could it be?       Well what would you know. I called the last season of House of the Dragon painfully boring, and frankly I was a bit skeptical of any new ASOIAF content because of it. But as this show came out, i started to see more and more posts about this show. Surely it can't be this good I thought to myself. After all, I had just assumed HBO had completely burned the bridge with George R.R. Martin. But I was wrong. This show is really just that good. I mean I was waiting for the entire season to be over to watch it, but I just couldn't take it anymore.       I'll admit, I'm a little surprised I stuck it out with this show for about a season. I wouldn't say it's particularly cringe, like with  Parks and Recreation, which I struggled to finish the first season for (and got about six episodes into season two for), but it didn't immediately endear me to the cast the way a sitcom like How I Met Your Mother  or Community  did. Hamsterdam was a bit of a stretch, but drug treatment zones basically already exist in some form, at least today. But this is ridiculous I'm sorry.       Alright, I'll admit it. I took a break from watching season four of The Wire. But frankly, now that I'm done it, I'm starting to question why I would ever make that decision. Look, my complaint of the past couple of seasons is that this show immediately dived headfirst into stretching itself out, trying to keep up with loose threads of past seasons. Though, I think that this season they made the right decision. The kids work, I think this might be the most emotionally impactful season of the show. You just want to make it work out for at least some of the characters, and I don't know if they knew it was leading up to the final season, but I think it's shaping out to be pretty good still.       Really? This is the season? I have to say Only Murders   in the Building  season five has been nothing short of a disappointment. I mean seriously. It forgets everything that made the show good, and mainly just meanders around hoping that by showing off new characters it'll be enough of a diversion from the fact that they don't even take their own premise seriously. I mean first of all, they drop the whole podcasting bit because they decide to quickly sign contracts, and then decide to never discuss the fact that their whole livelihood was taken away until the very end when they all suddenly become podcast fans again. Then, the whole mafia/mob thing is only ever discussed for like TWO WHOLE EPISODES. The worst part is, to top it all off, the big reveal about how the murdered was pulled off sounds too convenient, easy, and stupid. It's not clever or ingenious in any real way, it's just bad.       Alright, I'll admit it. I didn't see any of this coming. I really thought Stringer Bell was a character that was going to make it all the way until the end. To be honest, I really felt like he'd be saved until the end. He really seemed like a smart character, until he wasn't. It's a real shame really, and a stark contrast from how his character was in season one where it seemed like he could outsmart anyone, only to realize he was a shark out of water, and there are always greater powers to be than him when it came to trying to go on the straight and narrow. I must admit, all of his conniving made him feel a little out of his element, and I think a split between him and Avon was bound to happen. Either way, The Wire season three goes back to the streets of Baltimore, with some alright results when they focus on the political system within the city.       Look, I kind of get what they're doing? But to be honest this season can be described perfectly by a conversation between two characters, Herc and Carver. All they say is that they're not respected, and they're just asking what the hell they're doing here? And honestly? It's easy to say the same for much of this season. Don't get me wrong, it's not enough of a drop off that I'd call it disappointing, but it's just really messy and all over the place. In another twist of irony, a perfect comparison also happens this very season, where Major Valcheck asks what the hell the detail is doing, and why original target is just in the small corner of a piece of a board.      Well I'll be damned. They actually did it. The Wire  cured my attention span, at least for a season, and I have to admit it was great. I have constantly seen this show listed up there with some of the best TV out there, and I have to admit I was skeptical. I mean I did very much like Breaking Bad and The Sopranos , so how was this going to compare? But honestly, it's pretty damn good. Let's get this straight, it doesn't have really any flashy moments, you're not going to see some big moment of triumph where everything is right in the world. It's just a damn good police show, full of a lot of nuance, characters and some real moral quandaries. I can't believe even the little things I was complimenting this show about in the first season are just completely gone. Whether it be the very obvious music choices, the setting, or the proper diverison of minutes to each "couple," this show continues to erode at any sort of plausible realism fans might have been able to cling to, and I'm not even talking about the obvious one.     Honestly, this show was very much a tale of two halves for me. If you had asked me my opinion on this show after about two or three episodes, I would have been lukewarm on it. The plot felt pretty formulaic, and the only time I really managed to care about this show was when "The Bride" was on screen. Now, don't worry. There won't be any complaints about "woke" or how they ruined Frankenstein as a DC character, because frankly I didn't care too much about him or his role.
