"Dishonored: Death of the Outsider" So That's It?

Image
What? That's it? Don't get me wrong, I actually enjoyed this game. In fact, I thought it was more interesting than Dishonored 2 , but that's entirely because it didn't use the same fucking story as a DLC Like come on Arkane, be for real. This is even worse when you know that the first game was actually kind of cool too. Speaking of DLC, don't get me started on the fact that this game is entirely a Dishonored 2 DLC marketed as it's own game. This meme pretty much sums it all up, which is pretty sad considering how cool the combat system is.     Look, there's nothing wrong with keeping the same combat system if it works, but you have to change something other than the fucking graphics, or it gets so old so quick. Dishonored 2  realized that, they made the game shorter so people wouldn't get burnt out, but then I started Dishonored: Death of the Outsider  and realized, I'm already burning out. I mean, they don't even try, it's re-used

"Dishonored 2" I Was Missing Out

Look, I'm not saying I hated Dishonored 1 , but the gameplay in Dishonored 2  really made me appreciate the elements of Dishonored 1  more than I could ever imagine. Would I say this is my favourite game? No. I think in term of similar single player games I enjoyed the original Bioshock's  story and atmosphere a lot more than this game, but where  Dishonored 2  has Bioshock  beat is in the gameplay, which I think is some of my favourite stealth gameplay of all time.     When looking at this game and the biggest differences from its predecessor, there's one stark difference that really makes this game so much better than the first, the graphics. There's no nice way to put it, Dishonored 1 looks like absolute shit, the game is such an eyesore and frankly looking back I didn't know how I excused it all. I mean even for a game released in 2012, it looked so bad, and Dishonored 2  is pretty much the visual uplift that it was desperately looking for.     Speaki

"The Mandalorian Season 3" We Waited for This???

Image
Look, don't get me wrong, I enjoyed previous season of The Mandalorian, and I did enjoy this season of The Mandalorian  at times, but I feel really let down with the overall product given to me. Was the quality down? Yes, but it's a Disney+ show at this point low budget is the norm not the exception. To me, what was the real issue was the amount of good content provided. It reminds me of a high quality chip, except the bag is 90% air, so you barely get any good chips. Like don't get me wrong the good parts were phenomenal, I do love learning about Mandalorian lore, but at the same time, good lord was this season filler galore.     Let me start with my biggest gripe, Grogu. This mother fucker does not need to be present, or exist any further in this season. I understand the need to sell toys, I understand that Star Wars can be camp, but like, his character is so useless. This is most evident in the first couple of episodes, in which he pretty much does absolutely nothi

"Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk" Absolutely Mental

Image
Give me gore. Flash. Give me vanity. Give me insanity. Flash. That motif of the photographer begging Shannon for different emotions is recalled and recalled until you're playing it in your head like you're also modeling for some random photoshoot. I'll be honest, I've never read a Chuck Palahniuk novel before, though I did watch Fight Club  for what it's worth, and the reason I started reading this book was for one reason, and one kind of ridiculous reason only, Panic! at the Disco.     Time To Dance, is an energetic fun song, that fuses electronic synths on the background and the classic pop-punk guitars you're bound to find in any other scene band of the era. A track on Panic! at the Disco's debut album, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out , I absolutely adored the song, and so as an awkward pre-pubescent teen I was eager to memorize all of the lyrics, because frankly while the song was indeed fun and oddly catchy, it made zero sense to me.     That was my

"Scaring the Hoes - Danny Brown and JPEGMAFIA"

Are you scared yet kids? Going into this collaboration album, my only knowledge of JPEGMAFIA included something about nice teeth with Anthony Fantano, and Danny Brown from my friend Sweaty. I had listened to the track Lean beef Patty  and Scaring the Hoes  before jumping into this album and I'll admit, I was a bit intrigued with what was offered. I mean I doubted I'd enjoy all the songs on the album, but it's a rap album, and frankly I almost never like all of the tracks on any album, regardless of genre. Also, this album is literally called Scaring the Hoes , I was a bit concerned on how goofy it might have been, but after listening to it, I was pleasantly surprised? Anyways without further ado, my track by track review.  SCARING THE HOES Lean Beef Patty - 85/100 What can I say other than that this song slaps way too hard for what it is. I mean I remember when Spotify first recommended this song to me. 100gecs type production that sounds like a blown out speaker and a
