"Telltale's The Walking Dead Season 3: A New Frontier" A Loss of Direction

Now keep in mind when it came to this season I already had an idea that it wouldn't be that good. No disrespect to those who created this game but I felt that it already perpetuated the exact issues that started to make the second season feel more bogged down. Which is the fact that they wanted grander stories which required pushing characters towards certain choices even further.          Take for example Conrad, I tried so hard to save him, and miraculously he survived the entire season, even if he literally did nothing during it. Basically, once you had the option to kill him he just sort of awkwardly lurks the rest of the way because the writers did not know what to do with him. In fact, this sort of behavior exists with Tripp and Ava as well, because they literally do not do anything after you save one and let the other die.     Then there was the forced romance, which wasn't as bad as people make it out to be to be honest, because a lot of people really seemed

"Telltale's The Walking Dead Season 2" Sophomore Slump or Worthy Successor?

This is the one, the season that got me into this series, and Telltale games, in the very first place. I distinctly remember not being able to a)run games on my computer well(other than Minecraft), or b) purchase them(nor where to even buy them). So therefore the next best thing was watching a PewDiePie let's play, after all what's wrong with enjoying the story, even if I'm not allowed to make any of the choices?     What is this game about you may ask? Well, if you've played any Telltale game you should be familiar with the formula, a story game with minimal input and an emphasis on dialogue. This time around you follow Clementine as she lives life without Lee, meeting new groups, reconnecting with old characters, and beginning to have to make decisions all on her own.     Overall, when compared to the previous season, this season still holds a special place in my heart. For overall critiques, I do agree with people who claim that the choices don't reall

I'll preface this by saying that I already know some spoilers regarding this game. In fact, one of the main reasons I decided to play this game was because I watched a PewDiePie's lets play of this series when I was a young wee boy, although I'm afraid I do not remember what age. However, what I do remember was that the story touched me to great effect.     As someone who never actually saw the first season I was pleasantly surprised to experience the story of Lee for the first time. I don't know if the theme of redemption they were going through really shined as hard as it could or should have, but at the same time Lee wasn't some hardened criminal and during a zombie pandemic I doubt people have time to debate ethics of past lives.      I was a big fan of Clementine, other than basically her talking to that random guy for so long, I thought everything she did felt realistic and exactly as a child would do, especially her nature of always being so trusting and sca

"Life is Strange 2" Hauntingly Beautiful

I'm going to be honest, I cried at the end of this video game. I already knew the ending, I had done my research and made sure I made choices that I would be able to live with, and despite it all I broke down in tears. Its not everyday that you lie down after finishing a game, and let your emotions stain your pillow, as everything you held in slowly leaks out of a gaping hole. It took a game that was truly poignant, that had true power, to fell me in such a manner, and that game was Life is Strange 2.      Life is Strange 2(sometimes known as Life is Strange Season 2 or LIS2) follows two brothers, Sean and Daniel on their journey alone, as they journey across America after an encounter with racial injustice. Along the way they meet a memorable cast as the brothers must grapple with family, responsibility and power. As a fan of story games, and this series specifically, Life is Strange is a worthy successor that has managed to once again wring sorrow out of my heart that I thou
