"Justice League: Throne of Atlantis" Weak Everything

This movie is so weak man. It's not even a good Aquaman adaptation, it's barely a Justice League movie, and they continue to push this unacceptable Superman and Wonder Woman relationship. What do I even write about this movie. It was just extremely underwhelming, and I would not recommend it under any circumstances. It's just a complete waste of your time. I can't believe I'm saying this but I kind of enjoyed the mandatory Batman glaze from this film, which is saying something about how boring the rest of it is. Let's talk about it.

Well first of all despite being titled as a Justice League movie this film could hardly be constituted as such. The Justice League fared significantly better against Darkseid than versus Ocean Master, it was quite pathetic. Not to mention the Justice League hardly even get any screentime together. I understand that there are a lot of characters. Like they made a good point about the league hardly feeling like a league yet, and instead of them really addressing any of that they give us a Cyborg romance that I'm 90& sure goes nowhere.

Also, the Aquaman part is so slow. Arthur Curry just drinks, gets beaten up by some people pretty easily (though he does end up winning) and is just too mopey the entire time. You don't get a strong feel for his personality, any real sort of chemistry with Mera, and he doesn't win in a particularly satisfying fashion. Frankly, he felt kind of weak. If this movie was supposed to eb about showing how much of a powerhouse he was supposed to be, this movie certainly didn't do a good job at portraying that at all. I mean you hardly even hear why he's so important, just some one-liner about uniting the two worlds.

I mean they combined Ocean Master and Black Manta to have them both be co-villains. They didn't even explain Atlantean magic well either. Like they don't explain why Manta is basically just a human, and why so many Atlanteans look human despite the fact that all of them do, and the only ones who don't look that humanoid they just end up attacking? Like what?

I get that part of it is all of the time constraints, but stop trying to do so much and failing spectacularly at it. They needed to condense the Aquaman storyline hard. There's simply no reason for it to be that long, and for the part where he hardly discovers his powers to be so short. He doesn't feel kingly, the writing is worse than other movies in the DCAMU, you shouldn't watch this movie at all.

Final Score: 20/100

I would not recommend this movie to anyone. In the context of the DCAMU I don't think it even matters. Frankly, you might enjoy Aquaman better if you don't have to see this weak origin story. I really hope they fix the Justice League in the next couple of films. The only good part was when they were all helping each other with Cyborgs fight, yet they still don't properly answer any of the Batman questions really. Also the timeline is really fuzzy with Damian being a character yet the rest of them being too new in their careers, particularly Diana, Arthur, Clark and Barry.
