"Mac Miller - The Divine Feminine" No More Penis Talk

I've reviewed a Mac Miller album before, and frankly the beginning of this review will probably sound much of the same to that. I don't know anything about this album other than one song I know I definitely like, which is almost certainly carried by the presence of Ariana Grande. Other than that I'm not expecting much. I simply don't enjoy rap albums that much. But who knows. So without further ado, my track-by-track review.

The Divine Feminine - Mac Miller

Congratulations (feat. Bilal) - 70/100 Simple but pretty adorable to be honest. A nice soft introductory song that sets the rest of the albums tone.

Dang! (feat. Anderson. Paak) - 75/100 I do love me some Anderson. Paak. Maybe I should check out his solo work. Though on a side note I do really hate it when Mac Miller mentions his penis.

Stay - 75/100 Mac Miller's raps remain a little goofy even if I like the Soprano's shoutout on this song. It's a good tune underneath it all though. Actually I just heard the outro I might take away 5 points for this alone.

Skin - 55/100 Mac Miller is the weakest part of this album to be honest, I like everything but him.

Cinderella (feat. Ty Dolla $ign) 45/100 Why is this song so long? While Mr. Dolla $ign is entitled to sing whatever he likes however he likes I don't have to like it. Can they all stop trying to sound sexy with their delivery and lyrics while they're rapping it's pretty awful.

Planet God Damn (feat. NJOMZA).- 55/100 Shoutout NJOMZA she's carrying this track. Also this may come off as a bit harsh but I hate Mac Miller's penis.

Soulmate - 60/100 A decent track, a nice change of pace at the very least.

We - 50/100 I don't think the Ceelo Green feature does much for the song to be honest. Dare I say it's kind of generic?

My Favorite Part - 85/100 I hate to say it, but this is a good tune, even Mac's part. OF course Ariana carries this track hilariously hard, every time she sings you can feel the difference it's hilarious.

God is Fair, Sexy Nasty (feat. Kendrick Lamar) - 50/100 Ty Dolla $ign is the only feature that doesn't manage to outdo Mac Miller on this album.

Final Score: 61/100

This may come off as a bit harsh but did Mac Miller record this album with a chastity cage on? Did someone threaten to castrate him so all he can think about is how grateful he is to have a penis? In all seriousness it's a pretty decent album, and I think it starts off pretty well too. I do think it falls off a decent amount by the second half, and part of that is that I get absolutely nothing from Mac Miller's rapping, like to any degree. It doesn't help that he decided to constantly mention his penis which just takes me out of it so quickly. Like you're rapping already feels a little corny to me this is the last thing you should be talking about. Either way not too shabby if you can tolerate his lyrics/rapping.
