"Saba, No ID - From the Private Collection of Saba and No I.D." Bleh

You'll probably be able to guess what score I'm going to give this album. I can probably guess it already, but who knows, there's always a chance that an album comes along to buck the trend and really reel me into a genre. I'm not saying it'll be this album, but when my friend Slayer recommended it I gave the most popular track, head.rap, a shot and I didn't hate it, I almost enjoyed it. So without further ado, my track-by-track review.

From the Private Collection of Saba and No I.D.- Saba, No ID

Every Painting Has a Price (feat. BJ The Chicago Kid and Eryn Allen Kane) - 60/100 A pretty easygoing and nice track. It doesn't really wow me but it kept my attention the entire time so it did it's job.

Breakdown - 45/100 I wouldn't go as far to say that this song is not interesting or anything, it sounds well produced and I can appreciate that but the rapping is pretty uninteresting to me.

Crash (feat. Raphael Saadiq and Kelly Rowland) - 45/100 You know I know Kelly Rowland is a singer and this song is supposed to be a little fun and seductive, but I'm just getting no chemistry from this song.

Woes of The World - 40/100 It's not that I can't appreciate the lyrics but music should also be interesting to justify listening to the lyrics. Otherwise why shouldn't I just read?

Stop Playing With Me - 50/100 This song is much too short for me to have anything to say about it.

Westside Bound Pt. 4(feat. MFnMelo) - 60/100 You know I was a little annoyed by the first beat but MFnMelo is sort of redeeming this song for me. I didn't think I'd like his feature but I kind of enjoy the change of pace.

head.rap (ft. Madison McFerrin, Ogi, Jordan Ward) -  60/100 This was the one song on the album that gave me hope I might enjoy it more than I thought and it's still pretty alright.

Acts 1.5 - 50/100 Back to our regularly scheduled programming of songs that go by as fast as they come.

Reciprocity (feat. Ibeyi) - 50/100 This song sure feels like an interlude/buildup to the next track.

Stomping - 40/100 I'm not saying that I'm not particularly impressed by the use of the word stomping in this song, but that's basically it.

BIG PICTURE (feat. Ogi) - 50/100 Well at least I stopped disliking the tracks.

30secchop (feat. Joseph Chilliams and Jean Deaux) - 50/1000 mmmmmm nothing burger.

How to Impress God - 40/100 Don't think the moodier beat is really working to be honest.

She Called It (feat. Frsh Waters and Tru) - 60/100 At least they went back to what was working.

a FEW songs (feat. Love Mansuy, Ogi, and Smino) - 60/100 You know what they ended this album fairly well considering my expectations for it.

Final Score: 50/100

In defense of this album I am recovering from illness and semi sick. Sadly I don't think it would have changed the score of this album much. I mean it was basically predestined that this album was going to get a 50 from me.
