"How I Met Your Mother Season 8" KILL TED MOSBY

 


    Let me start this season off with a very serious message that cannot be undersold nor understated. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. WHO THE HELL IS STILL ROOTING FOR TED AND ROBIN IN THIS SHOW AND WHY DO THEY KEEP ON BRINGING IT UP. YOU CANNOT TEASE THE MOTHER AND FINALLY SHOW HER FACE. I am so sick and tired of this show dragging on this relationship no one wants or doesn't even make any sense. Free Robin. I don't care that she's basically just introduced to be the love interest for Ted, she deserves so much more than that. I love this show dearly but this show is beginning to get on my nerves. There's no way they're stretching out Barney and Robins wedding to for an entire season. 

    They need another time skip. I just think this show is too obsessed with actually ending the album on how Ted met the mother. Why can't they just spend a season on Ted and the mom? I think they're too hung up on this stupid title. The worst part is, if they actually do try and make Robin and Ted a thing somehow, it's going to be awful. If they do a the mother donated her eggs because Robin can't have kids, and so that's the story of how he met their "mother" I am going to boo so hard. I can already see it. Why else would they let it play out so hard. Honestly though, other than that this season is chill, but I hate everything else.

    So much so that I'm leaving it at that. This show knows what it needs to do. Anything else is just fun filler with the cast I've come to love so dearly. I mean the change with Marshall becoming a judge is cool, and I'm glad Lily is pursuing her future, but I'm so sick of sad Ted, and I just think the showrunners are making him too unlikeable. There really should be nothing else to this show. They've spent too long teasing the mother just to screw it all up like this. Friends dating each other and staying friends is fine, but this level of friendcest from the HIMYM cast is simply too much for even the strongest of platonic bonds to remain, it's embarrassing frankly.

      Look, Danny Devito was the only reason this show had any sort of foothold in my mind. I kept on repeating I'm the trash man through many of my younger years, and frankly, after looking at the absurd number of seasons, I've always been wary of starting this sitcom. "System Of A Down - Toxicity" Stick it Out for the Second Half

      I have in fact tried listening to this album before. I remember Anthony Fantano saying he really loved Toxicity , so I decided to put on Prison Song  at 12 pm, before promptly realizing this is exactly the kind of music I'd rather not listen to going to sleep, and that the song was really on the nose. Other than that I have absolutely no prior experience with System Of A Down other than Chop Suey!  which is a lovely song that Jeff Rosenstock continues to play before every single one of his shows (thankfully). So I suppose I won't pretend to deliberate further because I'm not particularly a big metalhead either, so I doubt any knowledge I might impart would be useful. "McKinley Dixon - Beloved! Paradise! Jazz!?" Living Up To It's Name, and More

      Do I listen to Jazz that often? Absolutely not. Do I know anything about McKinley Dixon? Nope. What I do know is that my friend Sweaty recommended this album, and when I listened to the track Run, Run, Run , Dixon's most popular track on Spotify I was absolutely hooked. All I know is that it is rated extremely high and it's very short for an album, so we'll see how that plays out. And without further ado, my track-by-track review. Beloved! Paradise! Jazz!? Hanif Reads Toni -  N/A Despite being over 2 minutes long I do think doing a spoken word poem is a cool intro.
