"LaRussell & Mike & Keys - BLACK BOY FLY" There Are Pictures In This Review


    I mean this in the kindest way possible. I've been informed by people whose opinion I trust that this album is hilariously bad. As such, I won't pretend as if I'm excited for this, and will say that if it gets bad enough I will start posting funny photos instead. So without further ado, my track-by-track review.

BLACK BOY FLY - LaRussell & Mike & Keys

Infinty i30 - 50/100 I'm just glad that the songs are all short. What does "Clockin' 9-5, I'm tryna get male diapers 'Member I can only buy whites by the box" even mean. This chorus is pretty funny though I can't lie.

Can't Do Both - 40/100 "Huh, you either hang or cut the rope, but you can't do both" He really thought he was eating with this line. He kind of reminds me of pickme's or like those annoying wellness people. 

Cheat Day -  30/100

They 10s But I Keep Em Clean Though - 10/100

Black Boy Fly - 08/100 Album was released in March and no one even wants to type out the lyrics for this track I'm crying.

Keep Yo Head Up - 35/100 This beat made me stop and check what song I was on. It's also six minutes though so we'll see how this goes. Never mind these lyrics made me laugh.

God's Timing - 25/100 This song went by so fast I didn't even have time to give it a rating therefore it gets a 25.

      Look, Danny Devito was the only reason this show had any sort of foothold in my mind. I kept on repeating I'm the trash man through many of my younger years, and frankly, after looking at the absurd number of seasons, I've always been wary of starting this sitcom. "System Of A Down - Toxicity" Stick it Out for the Second Half

      I have in fact tried listening to this album before. I remember Anthony Fantano saying he really loved Toxicity , so I decided to put on Prison Song  at 12 pm, before promptly realizing this is exactly the kind of music I'd rather not listen to going to sleep, and that the song was really on the nose. Other than that I have absolutely no prior experience with System Of A Down other than Chop Suey!  which is a lovely song that Jeff Rosenstock continues to play before every single one of his shows (thankfully). So I suppose I won't pretend to deliberate further because I'm not particularly a big metalhead either, so I doubt any knowledge I might impart would be useful. "McKinley Dixon - Beloved! Paradise! Jazz!?" Living Up To It's Name, and More

      Do I listen to Jazz that often? Absolutely not. Do I know anything about McKinley Dixon? Nope. What I do know is that my friend Sweaty recommended this album, and when I listened to the track Run, Run, Run , Dixon's most popular track on Spotify I was absolutely hooked. All I know is that it is rated extremely high and it's very short for an album, so we'll see how that plays out. And without further ado, my track-by-track review. Beloved! Paradise! Jazz!? Hanif Reads Toni -  N/A Despite being over 2 minutes long I do think doing a spoken word poem is a cool intro.
