"Dela - Changes of Atmosphere" Stop Coming to Me for Rap Reviews

Am I doing another review of a Conscious Hip Hop album that I almost certainly shouldn't be doing? Yes. Will I almost certainly just say that I like the instrumentals and that I'd vibe with it in a car? Yes. Will I ever play this album again? Almost certainly not. Was this recommended by my friend Sweaty? Yes. Is this my track-by-track review of it? Of course.

Changes of Atmosphere - Dela

Changes of Atmosphere (Intro) [feat. Liza Garza] - N/A It's a spoken word intro I'm not rating this.

I Say Peace [feat. J-live] - 50/100 The flute and horns are cool? I'm not sure why I'm doing a track-by-track review of this album I already know I won't have anything to say. Is it a copout to give every song a 50?

Live The Life [feat. J.Sands] - 60/100 This track feels like it has a little bit more energy than the last one, I'm kind of digging the small sung outro.

My Ni@#a [feat. Elzhi] - 50/100 I have come to the conclusion that I really just don't have strong opinions on rap music I'm sure someone enjoys it, but realistically the best compliment I usually give is that I respect the work put into it.

Won't Do [feat. Miles Bonny] - N/A Too bad I'm not ranking this I kind of actually dig this song.

Stress [feat. Queens Connex & Termanology] - 60/100 The bump is entirely because I think the hook is better than in the other songs.

Long Life [feat. Talib Kweli] - 45/100 I'm going to be honest with you I think this album is too long and I don't think my reviews are going to be going much higher after this. I don't know if it's just my state of mind while listening to this but this album really isn't giving me much.

Veuillez Veiller Sur Vos Rêves [feat. Les Nubians & John Bansaï] - 70/100 Turns out I actually enjoy the French even if I can't understand it really? Or maybe it's because they actually sing in this song. On a side note I know I complain too much about short songs but why is every song here like 4 or 5 minutes? Actually it's a bit repetitive but not in a fun way I might drop the score.

Vibrate [feat. Blu] - 45/100 Hmmm. The vocal effect on the rapping in the verses is most certainly a choice. Also is this album that obscure that no one has the lyrics to like half the songs?

How To Fish [feat. Reach] - 65/100 Feel like the chorus is a little corny but I appreciate the sentiment and I think the trumpet beat isn't too bad either.

The Plan [feat. Dynas] - 60/100 At the very least this song is switching it up, the chorus has a little kick to it at the very least.

It Is What It Is [feat. Naledge of Kidz In The Hall] - 45/100 Bring back Scaring the Hoes man I miss when I actually wanted to pay attention to a rap record.

Chill [feat. Large Professor & Meemee Nelzy] - 50/100 Cashew reference.

Changes of Atmosphere [feat. Supastition] - 55/100 This album was such a slog I'm basically indifferent on every single song here.

Final Score: 54/100

The average score for this album ended up higher than I expected. I feel as if the more I discuss this album the more disrespectful it is I'm very clearly not the target audience nor do I really expect to grow into the target audience. This album is simply too long and not interesting enough to justify any of it for me.
